The Verve House
Designing a 45-square home on a sub-600sqm site demanded careful spatial discipline and clarity of intent. The brief was ambitious — four bedrooms each with their own ensuite, a three-car underground garage, and generous open living across two levels .
With a suspended concrete ground floor forming a solid base, the design response focused on contrast. Warm timber elements were layered throughout the upper levels to soften the structural weight below, creating a sense of lightness and refinement rather than bulk. Vertical and horizontal timber detailing became both feature and filter — adding warmth, texture to the internal spaces.
A large north-facing master bedroom window was carefully positioned to capture the elevated outlook, turning the view into a daily experience rather than a distant backdrop. Despite the compact footprint, the result is a home that feels expansive, balanced, and intentionally composed — proving that constraint, when handled correctly, sharpens design rather than limiting it.

The Mirror Pool House
This 60-square modern residence was designed as a sanctuary of contrast and refinement. Spanning two levels, it accommodates five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, a separate powder room, and three distinct living spaces, all orchestrated around a dramatic 15-metre by 5-metre black-tiled pool. The pool acts as a reflective surface, mirroring a majestic oak tree in the neighbouring property and visually extending the outdoors into the home.
The design embraces bold, dark elements to create a moody, mature, and sophisticated atmosphere: black timber doors, cabinetry, windows, and kitchen stone are balanced against crisp white walls and ceilings, while the cinema room deepens the drama with full-black interiors. A six-metre full-height sliding door floods the living areas with light, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces, and drawing the eye to the pool and backyard. The result is a home that exudes confidence, elegance, and a quietly seductive charm, proving that modern design can feel both restrained and captivating.

The Duet House
This dual-occupancy project transforms a single block into two distinctive homes that are visually related yet fully individual. Each 20-square dwelling accommodates three bedrooms with ensuites, a separate powder room, and two living spaces, with the master bedroom occupying the entire upper level. Careful spatial planning ensures both homes feel generous while respecting the constraints of a side-by-side layout.
Brick veneer construction using Krause bricks provides texture and permanence, while large arched entryways and windows create a sense of elegance and sophistication. Skylights are strategically placed to counter the lack of side windows, flooding the open-plan kitchen, meals, and living areas with natural light and connecting the interiors to the sky above. From the street, the two homes maintain a cohesive aesthetic without appearing like twins — a balance of unity and individuality achieved through thoughtful proportion, materiality, and form.
Build Cost: 2.4 Million
The Parkview Residence
This 38-square home was designed as a serene, light-filled retreat, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the parkland at the rear of the property. Spanning two levels, the house includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a separate powder room, with a master suite thoughtfully located at the back to capture the outlook. A large skylight over the ensuite shower brings a natural, airy quality to the space, enhancing the sense of calm and connection to the outdoors.
The interiors are elegantly understated, with a palette of white and beige flowing throughout. Stone surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms, along with porcelain tiles, complement the warm, luminous interior, ensuring every room feels bright and inviting. The 8-metre by 3.5-metre pool and two-car garage complete the home, providing both functionality and outdoor enjoyment. Parkview Residence demonstrates how careful orientation, material selection, and considered planning can create a home that feels open, welcoming, and timeless.
